Just another 30 something mom, maneuvering through life with two studs for sons. Trying to laugh through the hard times, savor the good times, and blog about it all.

Ignore the "she"
Thought You Might Like To Know...
How your baby's growing:By now, your baby is just shy of 4 pounds and is nearly 17 inches long, taking up a lot of space in your uterus. You're gaining about a pound a week and roughly half of that goes right to your baby. In fact, she'll gain a third to half of her birth weight during the next 7 weeks as she fattens up for survival outside the womb. She now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair (or at least respectable peach fuzz). Her skin is becoming soft and smooth as she plumps up in preparation for birth.
Labor Day Weekend

Everyone had a lot of fun with Baxter. He catches frisbees and when you point your finger at him and say "bang" he lays down. This picture was taken 2 years ago, but again, close enough.

There was none of this! Trevor really took a liking to Rachelle, even though he couldn't remember her name. She shouldn't feel bad though, he sees Hilary (Cody's sister) almost daily and he can't remember her name.

A picture of Hilary for those of you who don't know her. That's Cody's dad.
Anyway, back to our weekend!

There was a lot of aunt/uncle/nephew bonding! We all had a great time. Next time I will try to remember to take pictures.

Nothing New
Cody has Bronchitis. I'm pretty proud of him though. He went to the doctor right when he started feeling icky. Hopefully he should be able to kick it pretty quickly since they got it early.
Cody's dad had his tonsils out yesterday. A few weeks ago he had tonsilitis so bad that they had to cut his tonsils back so he could breathe. Then lastnight his heart rate sped up and his blood pressure dropped, so they were worried about his heart. The tests came back good, so they think it's just stress from the surgery.
Hilary, Cody's sister, isn't living in the dorms. She met her roommate and in her words, not mine, the girl was "straight-up country". Cowboy boots and everything! She was also upset that she got a room with no air. So, she decided to live at home. If any of you have ever done this, you'll know that she'll regret it. She's trying out for the basketball team in a couple weeks, but if she doesn't make it she still has a scholarship to run track. She may do both.
Trevor starts pre-school next Monday. We have a meeting tonight. Wow, where did the years go?! His girlfriend dumped him for his bestfriend, he's bitter. Actually, they were more than boyfriend/girlfriend, they were married. I did a little explaining about what marriage is all about and he's not too upset anymore:) Ha ha!
Two more months! The past couple weeks have been hard. Hot and muggy and I'm starting to swell. I guess I was wrong when I thought to myself "oh, it won't be bad being pregnant in August, I'll only be 7 months." I don't think it really matters how far along you are. It still sucks! I have so much sympathy for Cindi Wolfe. I saw her when she was 9 months pregnant at the fair. I'm sorry!!
Cody and I are bartending at my brother's friends' wedding reception this week. Repaying old favors from our reception. I'm actually looking forward to it. Cody and I haven't been anywhere, other than Wal-Mart on a Saturday night for a long time!
The room is one step closer to being done. Cody's last step is to sand. Then we'll paint! I'll post pictures when we're done painting. Well, gotta go!

Update
The fair has come and gone and Trevor is still talking about it and will be talking about it for the next year. He doesn't ask when Christmas is or when his birthday is, he wants to know when the fair is coming to town. Not really for the rides, he loves the animals. He and Cody went on Thursday night without me because I was having a migrane. Then Cody, Trevor, Cody's brother Logan and I went on Saturday night. Trevor was our tour guide. His favorite section is probably the dairy cows. We spent some time watching the cattle show. A very neat gray cow won grand champion this year. There was one gray one and one brown one and probably 6 black ones. Trevor's grandpa asked him which one he thought was going to win and Trevor predicted the black one. We thought he had pretty good odds, but guess not:) He managed to charm everyone around us with his commentary. As you know, he doesn't whisper anything. Especially not "ewwwwww.... Mom, that cow is pooping!! It's green and brown!!"
